Furnished Sunny Room in Plant-Filled 1925 Craftsman
Nov 14 - flex|$1,712/mo|22 I have a furnished room available in my home—a 1925 craftsman in Seattle's Central District. The room is on the quieter side of the house, with two big south-facing windows that get really lovely afternoon light (genuinely helpful during Seattle's gray months). There's a queen bed with an Avocado organic mattress, a six-drawer pine dresser, bamboo side tables, and a spacious walk-in closet with solid wood rods and shelving. The floors are original oak. The corner opposite the bed can be configured as a little reading nook, lounge space, or desk. You'd share the main floor common spaces with me: a big living room with a gas fireplace, a dining room, and a kitchen that's set up for people who actually like to cook (gas range, double oven, center island). There's no TV in the common areas—I read, cook, and have conversations instead—but plenty of cozy spots if you want to stream on your own device. The house has a lot of plants and original craftsman details: arched doorways, leaded glass windows, 8.5-foot ceilings. I work from home as a product designer. I'm fairly quiet, cook a lot, and have friends over occasionally. I'm looking for someone comfortable with friendly-but-boundaried shared living—maybe the occasional conversation or meal together, but real respect for independent time and space. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, but surprisingly well-located. About a mile to Lake Washington, a mile and a half to downtown or Capitol Hill. Great Ethiopian restaurants, a couple of Seattle's best breweries, beautiful parks nearby. Bike score is 98; I have an indoor hook where you can store a road bike. For medical professionals: Swedish/Cherry Hill is a 10-minute walk (0.5 mi). Harborview, Virginia Mason, and Group Health are all within 1.5 miles.
