THE SPACE: - 1 room (62.86 sq ft) available in a 3 bed 2 bath apartment (874.78 sq ft) - Available: December 1st - March 31st - Central AC/Heating - In-Unit Washer/Dryer - New fridge w/ Ice Maker - Newly renovated bathroom & kitchen - Room has window & gets good sunlight - Apartment is right next to a train (LIRR), so roomie must be a hard sleeper/ok with passing train noise - Current roommate moving out because she's too light of a sleeper - Room has no closet - There is enough space for a wardrobe or a mounted clothing rack (ideal room for someone without a ton of stuff tho) - Living room is warm and cozy and gets great light during the day - Thrifted/Eclectic decor - Comfy Daybed-style couch THE ROOMIES: - Carmen (she/her): 10 y/o Cat; loves to cuddle; perfect and sweet little angel - Eliette (they/he): 25 y/o; Artist & puppet maker; parent of Carmen + keeps cat litter in their en suite bathroom; kind and clean and soft-spoken; loves a long walk - Hannah (they/she): 27 y/o; from FL and works remotely for lgbtq+ nonprofit; always cooks enough to share; loves to craft and host; trying to learn guitar OUR IDEAL ROOMIE: - Minimum 24 y/o - Queer - NO PETS (sorry, Carmen is an only child) - Hard sleeper / Ok with passing train noise outside window - Helps keep apartment clean and does their dishes (we sadly do not have a dishwasher) - Ok w/ Hannah occasionally hosting their out-of-town friends (and ofc new roomie is welcome to do the same) - Is ok w/ Eliette making breakfast in the kitchen early before work LOCATION: - On atlantic avenue, along the bedstuy/crown heights border - 3 min walk to employee-owned super market - 5 min walk to the C - 8 min walk to the A - 5 min walk to LIRR (Atlantic Ave stop) - 15 min walk into bed stuy or crown heights - 20 min walk to 2, 3, 4, & 5 (Nostrand Ave Stop) - 20 min walk to HVK Park - 40 min walk to prospect park - Amazing food within 10-15 min walk (A&A Bake Shop, Cheeni, Dolores, Ler Lers, Juici Patties, Taqueria Milear)
